About us

Citgo Service Center of Batavia has been providing automotive service to customers living in and traveling through the Fox Valley for over 20 years.  Citgo Service Center is an independent Citgo station that is family owned and operated.  Our staff includes experienced employees who have been at the business for many years and know most of our customers by name.

Citgo Service Center of Batavia has its roots in North Aurora, IL, a town about 3 miles south of Batavia.  Stan Oke, the then and current owner, started running an Amoco station selling gasoline and automotive repairs in 1978.  At this time, the business was called North Aurora Service Center.  In 1981, the business moved to Batavia and it's current location and still under the Amoco name continued to sell gasoline and provide automotive service as Batavia Amoco Service.

Batavia Amoco Service expanded the service facility in 1994, adding two additional service bays to the original three.  In 2002, Batavia Amoco Service briefly took on a new look and name due to the Amoco/BP merger, and Batavia Amoco replaced the well known look of the Amoco red, white and blue with the new look of the BP Helios with green and yellow.

In mid 2003, the owner, Stan Oke, purchased the property from BP Amoco and the station was returned to the look or red, white and blue with the new look of Citgo.   In June, 2003, the name was changed to Citgo Service Center of Batavia.  This brand change and name change ensures the continued operation of automotive service at this location and allowed for greater control over operations as a independent Citgo station.

Through the many years of operation many things has changed at Citgo Service Center of Batavia, yet much has remained the same.  Our ownership remains the same - the same family owned and operated business since 1978.   Our commitment to quality remains the same - quality branded Citgo fuels and only quality parts used for automotive repairs.  Our experienced and trained employees remain focused on fast, friendly and professional service.
